Personal connections-Regret

There are a lot of issues that arise when reading this book. Both Mitch and Morrie have regrets on decisions they have made in life. Remaining school appropriate, and trying to not divulge too much personal information, describe a time when you regretted a choice that you made. Why do you regret your decision? How will it shape your future? Do you think about that choice often?

Well, in my lifetime i try to live by one rule, Live No Regrets. But it's an extremely hard task and i fail quite often. My most recent regret, and my biggest one ever, is not spending enough time with my grandma. She passed away last Sunday, and the only thing running through my head was, "I'm terrible...why couldn't i have just spent more time with her..."

So yesterday, i was picking up frankie and lauren so we could go to school and we were running a little late and i was speeding. I saw the cop and started to slow down and then he turned around and pulled me over and gave me two warnings. One for going 40 in a 25 and the other for having more than one person in the car even though that is legal for me he still gave me a warning. So if i would've gotten up earlier that day, i wouldn't have been rushed and i wouldn't have gotten warnings and my car wouldn't be under watch right now.

Alright so i have a couple of regrets. But one of the biggest ones was being ran by someone. My group of friends in grade school were not very nice! One of my friends was basically the leader and she made us stop being freinds with some people. The day i let her stop bossing us around was really great.

There are many regrets in our lives and that we have all made. I have lied many times, and some of it probably wasn't the best stuff. I regret that now and it just shows that i am going to try hard not to do that anymore because i know i have guilt now.

as much as it would be great, there is no way to live with no regrets. there will always be something that you will do that you will regret. i regret not trying in math sometimes so i try to get better

Times that i really regret are the times when i slacked off and procrastinated in school. Because at the time, i didnt feel like it mattered, but later i payed the consequences, and i was not too happy with them.

There are many regrets that I could have, but one sticks out to me more than the rest. Last year for second semester, I decided that I was going to take a break in my Algebra 2 H class and I ended the class with a semester grade of a D+. I was planing on getting into Calculus my Senior Year but with that one stupid mistake it ended that goal. Now I have to try and do things from a different approach.

I have a lot of regrets from the past. I regret that I had become such a hardend close minded retard. But in recent times I discovered that having regrets only slows you down because you think about them istead of the present. I personaly feel that having regrets is not bad....but dwelling on them is horrid.

Every one has regrets. No one is perfect. I regret not having the ability to help my friend when she needed my help and I was unable to give it. I will always try to help as much as I can for my friends. I always think about my choice and learn not to make that mistake again and not having the ability to help. :)

I was definately in kaitlyn's car!
She is always late! We were also going to get someone else and couldn't go get them so they were probably late too! But yeah we ran into the school yesterday morning. It sucked! But also at the same time it was funny!

In respons to krose you should always drive by the speed limmits and always go by the law . If you do that you will be fine and it will get you in the habbit of doing so. that and you shouldnt hit a baseball into a window and try to run like lue gerich.

I have regretted many things in life, really, but I'll just go with one. I regret being interested in basketball early in life. Now, my parents think that I am amazing, and I'm not. So they are trying to make me play for 2 more years, but i'm not.

Well I have had many times that I would take back, but I mean theres nothing you can really do about it and the best thing to do is to move on and try to grow from it. My desicion wasnt the best and it will help me in the future by makin gme really thnk about what the consequences would be and it would help with my responsiblity. The choice has come up in many occasions but i have been trying to avoid the situation that could happen.

In reply to Killian comment:
There is always a time to dwell on regrets. Not just to feel the emotions of regret, but to understand why you regret it. And would not want for that to happen again. You not only learn from past experiences, you grow from them.

I regret speeding in the snow and slamming on the brakes and sliding right into a a curb. I runined my rim, and my dad was pretty mad. I also did donuts in coltons yard and jacked some pole. Bad idea on my part.

Everyone has regrets and i ahve one i would like to share. A few months ago my grandpa died and i hardly talked to him when he was alive and then when he died i came to realize i wish i could have talked to him...

I have many regrets in my life, but i belive if i had been deadset on not having many regrets i would have gone through my life sitting there doing nothing, i get in trouble alot with my parents and at first i regret some of it, but after i take some time and look back on what ive done in a few cases i am actually happy that i did that.

replying to justin riley. wow way to go justin! you should never go fast when it is snowing because you don't have any traction and that just ends up in a no good zone. NOT GOOD! but eh, no big deal. i did the same thing once, i was going a little too fast and i went to turn but the turn didn't turn out as planned, and then i slid almost into a stop sign and almost ended franks life. NO BIG DEAL OR ANYTHING! it was all good. but my car is a BA so it lived with nothing wrong. =) YAY FOR CADDY'S!!

NickM i really agree with your statement. its tough getting out of something when your parents are kinda pushing. but i think that you should drop it even if your parents disagree...it your choice!

I dont have to many regrets because I try to think about what im doing before I do it. This doesnt always work. Even when I think about stuff it can still turn out to be the bad choice. I thing I regret listening to my cousins when they told me to go off the jump and I did and face planted it in the dirt. I lost 2 teeth and almost broke my nose when I was 7.

I'd like to respond to Frankie's first post. I thinkt hat her regret is way more common then people think. The same exact thing happened to me. My best friend in grade school was a jerk. A flat out jerk. And in turn, made me stop being friends with people, and also turned me into a jerk. Letting go of the past and getting rid of him as a friend basically turned my life around.

Dakoda L said...

I agree with Killian that if you always dwell on your regrets that you will get absolutely no where in life. You just need to move on and live the rest of your life for right now. But make sure to look back everyonce and a while so you don't make the same mistake. What would be worse than dwelling on them is making the same mistake more than once.

In response to Riley, he might be the dumbest person on earth. He shouldn't be on the road. He is a danger to other drivers.

i dont have any regrets cause im a bada** and if somthin goes wrong it always works out in the end, errythin happens for a reason

jake said...

ok well i regret going 100 mph on a road the jumping rail road tracks cause it could mess up my car and my mom got it for me.

Tia C said...

I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason, good and bad. There are some things that I wish I could do differently but in the end I know that it happend for a resason. EX: When I recently lost a best friend, it sucked but hey it was for the better in the long run.

Killian l said...

Everyone has regrets...every single person. If you have never had a regret then you haven't done anything EVER. as I've said before. Having regrets NOT BAD...Dwelling on them for a long time is bad.

I think i mostly regret not doing good in school when i know that i am capable of doing a lot better. I don't push myself to the max or get everything done on time (all the time) when i know i have plenty of time to do it. Like this blogging thing, i've had time to get it done i just waited til the last minute and now i'm regretting doing that! :0)
